I keep meaning to update my blog and just like that two years have passed. </p><p>Just popping in to check my blog is still active. š</p><p>Donāt worry, Iām still crafting. My style has changed and I find I am crafting more with kits and classes like Vicki Boutin and Creative Adventure Downunder Iām also recreating projects I see online. These arenāt my original work so I donāt feel like I can share them here. The challenge is getting photos to fit the pre designed albums and layouts. Usually I create a piece around a photo. </p><p>Hereās a layout I copied from Nathalie DeSousa from Vicki Boutinās Print Shop collection. Itās me in my happy place, my craft room. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcIeljhZi1V8NuUH0YRtLqXK1aE3YXhdth9xcpuXEgiDRoAQqqIrWs-6Q0dFnjZOxYMa7tA8QF_1vAUSrD4SvHWQFC1k32-5Q9YmjPGfny5qEVc56tXIYlZfghtd0aQjB8zCly6qeaqBP1Q89EeiNwLoTWImAJ90WQSvir7abIEPxShnnUBtG0XJFm3g/s1959/AA59E379-D651-4DDF-A1C6-6DF6E7D6810A.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1893" data-original-width="1959" height="309" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcIeljhZi1V8NuUH0YRtLqXK1aE3YXhdth9xcpuXEgiDRoAQqqIrWs-6Q0dFnjZOxYMa7tA8QF_1vAUSrD4SvHWQFC1k32-5Q9YmjPGfny5qEVc56tXIYlZfghtd0aQjB8zCly6qeaqBP1Q89EeiNwLoTWImAJ90WQSvir7abIEPxShnnUBtG0XJFm3g/s320/AA59E379-D651-4DDF-A1C6-6DF6E7D6810A.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-31686740849492690432021-07-05T20:07:00.001-07:002021-07-05T20:07:35.727-07:00Another Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge<p>When the weekly challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-85/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a> then I am sure to join in. Nice and easy. I need to make a childās birthday card so today I sat down, uninspired to create. I had a flash of inspiration: see if the sticker book has a mermaid. I was in luck, it has two identical mermaid stickers as well as some mer-cats! I had my inspiration and off I went. </p><p>For this card I wanted to try inking the embossing folder first. Trouble is, I inked the wrong side the first time I did it! Finally I got the base embossed and inked and trimmed as I wanted it. It was quick to come together after that with the stickers leading the way. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IHblDQZWdTc/YOPIIXfiTNI/AAAAAAAACTo/tkhK9SlWlJoTh2VthbtLOk94pI2AtxInwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/2EB7C6F3-690F-4B06-96EF-347641E3242F.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IHblDQZWdTc/YOPIIXfiTNI/AAAAAAAACTo/tkhK9SlWlJoTh2VthbtLOk94pI2AtxInwCLcBGAsYHQ/w480-h640/2EB7C6F3-690F-4B06-96EF-347641E3242F.jpeg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KHe6WHwj1RU/YOPIFcAbpbI/AAAAAAAACTk/WO2vwHx5M5IZEBidCvfoJvaF48N_jOkXgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/86B01B87-6508-47E5-A760-CFBCB08C6C11.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1573" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KHe6WHwj1RU/YOPIFcAbpbI/AAAAAAAACTk/WO2vwHx5M5IZEBidCvfoJvaF48N_jOkXgCLcBGAsYHQ/w493-h640/86B01B87-6508-47E5-A760-CFBCB08C6C11.jpeg" width="493" /></a></div><p>The Inside: hereās where I used the mer-cats! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vHq7ccwISL8/YOPIV1gImdI/AAAAAAAACTs/qkX9nY2EEkkAh2__QBPfrXMG30kYbBoHQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/DFD72365-1921-40E5-BD93-DBCF64FA55F2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vHq7ccwISL8/YOPIV1gImdI/AAAAAAAACTs/qkX9nY2EEkkAh2__QBPfrXMG30kYbBoHQCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/DFD72365-1921-40E5-BD93-DBCF64FA55F2.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Challenge Details:</p><p>Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-85/" target="_blank">Here</a></p><p>Materials:</p><p>Card - Grace Taylor, Embossing Folder - Craft Creations, Ink - Ranger Distress Oxide and Archival, Stamps - Altenew and Rubbadubbadoo, Chipboard - Vicki Boutin, Stickers - Vicki Boutin and Skinz. </p>Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-28413736530700771982021-05-07T22:02:00.000-07:002021-05-07T22:02:02.111-07:00Simon says Stamp Monday & Wednesday Challenge - Feminine<div class="separator">NSD has lit a creative spark and I am scrapping up a storm. The weather is getting cooler here so perfect for locking myself away in my craft space. This post is an entry for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=23847" target="_blank">Feminine</a>. The latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge has been updated to the same theme so I will be entering this project for that too <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-for-a-special-lady-2/" target="_blank">here</a></div><p>It is Motherās Day this weekend so it was a perfect fit for creating for that. Instead of a card, I decided to make an explosion box thanks to my WRMK explosion box tool. I am certainly getting good use out of that tool. Hereās my feminine explosion box I made for my mum this weekend including a pocket for a gift card - hopefully she doesnāt see this post. </p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BllRVvQl9oA/YJNYau3e6jI/AAAAAAAACRk/-BvA5cmo_kwzX4IPD-Eye8SIRkaMIc5NQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/19946F58-58EA-425D-A633-02585FEDFC96.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1757" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BllRVvQl9oA/YJNYau3e6jI/AAAAAAAACRk/-BvA5cmo_kwzX4IPD-Eye8SIRkaMIc5NQCLcBGAsYHQ/w550-h640/19946F58-58EA-425D-A633-02585FEDFC96.jpeg" width="550" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l6A7drN5a3E/YJNY6GYmqsI/AAAAAAAACSQ/PmbqGce9aEI5ZssY8T_HotFiT4A8-uuYgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/B7D7A878-421B-49EB-B052-45F37E238825.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1899" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l6A7drN5a3E/YJNY6GYmqsI/AAAAAAAACSQ/PmbqGce9aEI5ZssY8T_HotFiT4A8-uuYgCLcBGAsYHQ/w594-h640/B7D7A878-421B-49EB-B052-45F37E238825.jpeg" width="594" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nfKRQyBZaH8/YJNZBN6uMKI/AAAAAAAACSU/19yITIszRN4BUPICo6_fA73HazHsHlx-wCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/744B176C-FE4E-4991-BF50-6E532E473775.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1460" data-original-width="2048" height="456" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nfKRQyBZaH8/YJNZBN6uMKI/AAAAAAAACSU/19yITIszRN4BUPICo6_fA73HazHsHlx-wCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h456/744B176C-FE4E-4991-BF50-6E532E473775.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HXP6fw18pMI/YJNZIMg3HoI/AAAAAAAACSY/FAD3RDDQf-MX-DlnM4GO5XpkQHhrF64NACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/2A2A0A2B-35C7-4AAE-AC3B-48B5F0614F39.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2046" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HXP6fw18pMI/YJNZIMg3HoI/AAAAAAAACSY/FAD3RDDQf-MX-DlnM4GO5XpkQHhrF64NACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/2A2A0A2B-35C7-4AAE-AC3B-48B5F0614F39.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rDzh_MEMosU/YJNZNj-C9BI/AAAAAAAACSg/cwx-QvFQpDYlsoVcv02vvuSWvhyQkaSfACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/99A13BA8-58A6-4FB3-A2D9-B94E4E4AAC5E.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2047" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rDzh_MEMosU/YJNZNj-C9BI/AAAAAAAACSg/cwx-QvFQpDYlsoVcv02vvuSWvhyQkaSfACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/99A13BA8-58A6-4FB3-A2D9-B94E4E4AAC5E.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p>Challenge details: </p><p>Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=23847" target="_blank">Here</a></p><p>Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-for-a-special-lady-2/" target="_blank">here</a></p><p>Materials:</p><p>Paper: Kaisercraft, Craftsmith, , Inks: Ranger Distress Oxides, Stamps: Teresa Colins, Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey, Kaisercraft, other, Stickers: American Crafts, Kaisercraft, Ranger liquid pearls, Diecuts: American Crafts, </p>Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-42622121984238097762021-05-04T15:52:00.003-07:002021-05-04T15:52:46.038-07:00Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes May 4th<p>May the fourth be with you. I will link the challenges I participate in here. </p><p>Simon Says Stamp Blog giveaway is to show a recent scrapbook page. This is aTN layout I created yesterday for a challenge put up by a NZ scrapbook company. The challenge was use flowers or ladybugs. I pulled out circle punches to make the ladybugs - very old school crafting. The background behind the photo is stamped with leaves and flowers </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HL_cQZqSOeE/YI3RC1hrz9I/AAAAAAAACRE/FdeLyXWlf9IS8550TLuDkCoTJLkvEX4tgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/C257F594-2587-4C5A-933B-77A9704E36D5.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1872" data-original-width="2048" height="365" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HL_cQZqSOeE/YI3RC1hrz9I/AAAAAAAACRE/FdeLyXWlf9IS8550TLuDkCoTJLkvEX4tgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h365/C257F594-2587-4C5A-933B-77A9704E36D5.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0 0 0 40px; padding: 0px;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Supplies:Studio Calico printed TN, stamps unknown, inks Tim Holtz distress oxide, Heidi Swapp calico heart, American Crafts sticker book for the clear flowers and alpha stickers. </div></blockquote><br /><p><br /></p>Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-45673168174932561592021-03-14T17:42:00.001-07:002021-03-14T18:01:27.360-07:00National Craft Month - March and Simonsaysstamp Challenge<div class="separator"> March is National Craft Month so I decided to do something crafty everyday. I even cleared off my desk this month but only because I couldnāt find my ādonāt care what I cut with themā scissors. I later found them in the garage where I used them last to cut up the boxes for recycling that some sneaky crafty orders came in! </div><p>So far this month, I have been working on memory dex cards. I usually try to make one for every month of the year and have been doing that for 4-5 years. Unfortunately I stopped somewhere around Oct 2019 so I had 18 to make. They donāt always have to have photos, sometimes itās just playing with new product or techniques. I keep them in the original rectangle Heidi Swapp memory dex box, it isnāt completely full yet. I may have another Heidi Swapp Rolodex style one on standby when the box is full. I also must remind myself that I do not need the new blush memory dex roller! Me. I donāt think I was the only one. Canāt say thereās been much improvement on my end but we live in hope. January was a right-off for me health wise and I only started to feel more like me around mid February. Who wouldāve thought 2021 could be worse than 2020? Sigh. </p><p>Crafting helps though and itās nice to have had a couple of creative weekends lately. I signed up for the Vicki Boutin Storyteller weekend in November last year and Iām proud to say I recently completed the album and layouts once the missing product was sent in February. I only need to add photos to the album and 3 of the layouts. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Di1uSgL7y6c/YEAd-NJD-DI/AAAAAAAACO0/hgDCzatK-ggRQTYShC0eRJxgbv3ij6Q3ACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/DBA0F675-7F98-4C41-8831-B716E0E547B4.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Di1uSgL7y6c/YEAd-NJD-DI/AAAAAAAACO0/hgDCzatK-ggRQTYShC0eRJxgbv3ij6Q3ACLcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/DBA0F675-7F98-4C41-8831-B716E0E547B4.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">In January 2020, I made another Vicki Boutin album, and true to Vicki style , it is packed even without the photos. The Storyteller album is the same so I split the two abums into three albums. I tried to make the new album similar to the storyteller album by using the stencil. The first attempt did not work, it wiped right off. I switched to archival ink and it worked a little better. I finished it off by adding some stickers left over from the kit. Gotta use āem up!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zw0G3VNgH1k/YEAeLXUfiEI/AAAAAAAACPI/aVwiyhDhf5gj8d_9ZGBGWzC81lTm66r5ACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/2A5CCD8C-301C-49A0-9B7F-B6EBF05BDCDB.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zw0G3VNgH1k/YEAeLXUfiEI/AAAAAAAACPI/aVwiyhDhf5gj8d_9ZGBGWzC81lTm66r5ACLcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/2A5CCD8C-301C-49A0-9B7F-B6EBF05BDCDB.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><p>When I finished one of the sticker sheets I thought to myself: I could use that and stamp in the open spaces. In the end I backed it with the packaging from some of my Vicki product - itās too pretty to throw out. The mixed media was already done for me on the background, I just needed to colour the sticker background with Vickiās water colour pens. Final step was stamping in the blank spaces. Iām just waiting for the right photo, or I will make it into a card. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KiKF4XXBwv0/YEAeXQCEU_I/AAAAAAAACPU/ovtsDxptl6AymbbKO4B1_eZPe3kO3rB-QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/D5AE61D0-A03A-4BAF-9799-3D7151337304.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KiKF4XXBwv0/YEAeXQCEU_I/AAAAAAAACPU/ovtsDxptl6AymbbKO4B1_eZPe3kO3rB-QCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/D5AE61D0-A03A-4BAF-9799-3D7151337304.jpeg" /></a></div><p> Lastly, I have a tip for you that I worked out. When I add water to my inks for water colouring, I usually use my spray bottle. I donāt like to keep a water cup around because of the risk of spilling and I donāt like how dirty the water gets. When I finished a bottle of eye drops I decided to fill it with water and use that instead. I think it works really well. Let me know if you try it out for yourself </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TL2bMwH9li4/YEAdLD2LjNI/AAAAAAAACOc/A3K5UuN56MUqCcoQ_K7icnUX2I81dcWWACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/05D0E563-DBE0-4013-BA5F-45A395F7DB93.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TL2bMwH9li4/YEAdLD2LjNI/AAAAAAAACOc/A3K5UuN56MUqCcoQ_K7icnUX2I81dcWWACLcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/05D0E563-DBE0-4013-BA5F-45A395F7DB93.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-53797372057269272622020-10-02T14:07:00.003-07:002020-10-02T14:07:49.837-07:00Spring has Sprung<p>Online there is lots of fall inspiration, but in New Zealand it is spring. Itās been lovely seeing all the spring blooms and being able to enjoy warmer temperatures. Spring has definitely sprung in NZ - I have a birdās nest right outside my window. Recently I noticed that a thrush made her nest on the resident handy manās ladder; not a very convenient place. The resident handy man set about to build a nesting spot for her and yesterday we wrapped the support post in tinfoil to deter cats. Now I just need to find a solution to keep cats off my window sill as it is a perfect launching spot. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ya5k5cvg6BU/X3eUVHZsLCI/AAAAAAAACMo/UA95UIKijfk4j5u1-j2wPtsdQdEZW8uAgCLcBGAsYHQ/s750/B64D6424-3BF7-4A1D-AC91-A4A1B9BB663E.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><strike><img border="0" data-original-height="745" data-original-width="750" height="397" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ya5k5cvg6BU/X3eUVHZsLCI/AAAAAAAACMo/UA95UIKijfk4j5u1-j2wPtsdQdEZW8uAgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h397/B64D6424-3BF7-4A1D-AC91-A4A1B9BB663E.jpeg" width="400" /></strike></a></div><p><br /></p><p>Seeing as this is a crafting blog, I better get back to sharing some crafting. You could pack a lot of photos in one memory file album. My love for them was rekindled recently when an Australian memory file artist shared some of her memory files online. I got hooked all over again and pulled out some supplies to make one after many years. Because the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=20948" target="_blank">Beautiful Boutanicals</a> I made sure to pull out some lovely botanical prints to use. Once it was completed I came across some photos of my dog so I decided to dedicate it to him. Once the theme was set, I changed some of the circles on the front of the file into paw prints. Itās certainly been a while - nearly four months to be exact. Lots going on in my life impacting on my crafty time. However, I did manage to make a card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge because it is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-75/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a> - a very easy challenge to fill.<div><br /></div><div>Todayās card is made for a childās birthday. Little did we know as we celebrated the new year, just how 2020 would play out. Here in New Zealand, we have been on full lockdown apart from essential services. As the company I work for is considered an essential service, I am working from home. It sure gets in the way of my crafting!<br />
<br />
My self isolation has actually been in place for a month as I had a week off work sick. Then when our PM shifted the alert level to level 2 it meant that I needed to remain at home as I fall in one of the recommended groups to stay home to stay safe. From March 23 the whole country went in to lockdown. Iāve just realised today that when we go out of level 4 we will still go down to level 3 then level 2 which means I will still need to work from home and restrict movement. Sigh. All is well however. We have enough supplies and a family member to get supermarket supplies for us.<br />
<br />
During March I participated in #31minutesfor31days which is simply crafting for at least 31 minutes every day in March. I got all 20 layouts done from Pretty Rustic #3 which was held in early March. No photos on them yet. Hereās a small sample:<br />

Last weekend, Scrapping clearly held a 3 day online virtual crop with lots of inspirational videos. I decided to give image transfer go after watching a video by Leanne Jago. My design was also scraplifted from Leanneās video:<br />

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-70/">Anything Goes</a>. Recently I sat down with leftovers from putting together the Vicky Boutin album with her Wildflower & Honey collection. I loved the cover sheet from the 6x8" paper pad. The album used the entire paper pad so I didn't want the pretty printed piece to go to waste. So I pulled out the leftovers from the album and sat down to create (and maybe I also had some more replacement Wildflower & Honey pieces I may have also bought because it is just such a lovely collection #dontjudgeme).<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dR9W3Ld9-58/XlrM7ISoQ8I/AAAAAAAACIY/vzqYowDpq2czhSbfAQVNHSjOFZEOxv9fgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/9FC9D9C5-3775-4A27-BFB2-5581E1FEA654.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dR9W3Ld9-58/XlrM7ISoQ8I/AAAAAAAACIY/vzqYowDpq2czhSbfAQVNHSjOFZEOxv9fgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/9FC9D9C5-3775-4A27-BFB2-5581E1FEA654.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I then did a similar design on the back using just leftovers again. I think this kind of crafting works because I had the whole collection so I knew it would work well together. Usually I only buy limited items from a collection that I think I can use. It is a luxury to craft with a whole collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4_ZjIIeQrUI/XlrM7OU6LgI/AAAAAAAACIk/Z9zqSXpRDGAQJt3_aJC_tJCkg-66pJbYwCEwYBhgL/s1600/A013953A-FA7B-4344-8C14-69CE8097BB47.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4_ZjIIeQrUI/XlrM7OU6LgI/AAAAAAAACIk/Z9zqSXpRDGAQJt3_aJC_tJCkg-66pJbYwCEwYBhgL/s400/A013953A-FA7B-4344-8C14-69CE8097BB47.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I think I really enjoy the challenge of using leftovers and stretching my creative muscles by limiting my supplies. It's amazing what you can do with just a little. That doesn't mean that I am emptying my craft room of the excess though! I love my stash.<br />

Apologies for the photos being the wrong way! I am using my iPad and it wonāt let me rotate them even though they are the right way originally. Plus I held off posting this until today so the date would show Leap Day.Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-72668313537947489402020-02-05T12:56:00.002-08:002020-02-05T13:10:21.835-08:00Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey AlbumItās no secret that I am a fan of Vicki Boutin! I enjoyed my mixed media classes with her at CAD last year but my true love is her mini albums. At CAD I purchased a few (cough) of her then latest collection - wildflower & honey. A short time later, Vicki released album kits for sale using wildflower & honey (as well as a Christmas one but thatās just not for me!). Coincidentally I pretty much had all of the items in the kit except for the album itself. I purchased the appropriate album and then purchased the instructions from Vicki. They arrived recently and I could hardly wait to get started. Conveniently for me, we had a long weekend at the end of January so I got to sit down and put the album together. Boy is she pretty.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QkI0QfiwlO8/XjsrK9Xr1_I/AAAAAAAACHg/tRr_5zZF66kpIR7w--F3U0c_E2ciytfsgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/21B5B177-C541-4806-8090-29070CA8F809.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QkI0QfiwlO8/XjsrK9Xr1_I/AAAAAAAACHg/tRr_5zZF66kpIR7w--F3U0c_E2ciytfsgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/21B5B177-C541-4806-8090-29070CA8F809.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I printed the cutting instructions A3 to help me visually. The instructions were pretty clear and I only had one oops with trimming one piece (my fault). Iām happy to share helpful tips with anyone intending to make this up as I learned a few things along the way. My album didnāt come with two pocket page configurations that Vicki used but luckily I had 2 spare from an older simple stories album. Itās not a size I naturally use so it worked out well and meant I could use one of the 6x8 pocket pages for the extra pages I made below. Unfortunately I ran out of 1/4ā red tape so I need to go buy some and reattach some of the flaps. The album is full of colour with different layers and sizes. All I need to do is add photos but she is pretty enough to just look at as she is right now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gV8vlNGZf7I/XjsrfiUsjVI/AAAAAAAACHo/B-jHNzDHXJUrsXdb36TvJGttDvF87SVGQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/E612BD0C-D1F7-47D0-8F78-A7B9C41E7E5B.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gV8vlNGZf7I/XjsrfiUsjVI/AAAAAAAACHo/B-jHNzDHXJUrsXdb36TvJGttDvF87SVGQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/E612BD0C-D1F7-47D0-8F78-A7B9C41E7E5B.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
After I finished the album I had a few pieces left over so I created two additional pages using just the leftovers. Feeling pretty proud of myself I have to say.<br />

This blog was neglected last year I fear. I wonder if it is because a lot of my crating last year was finishing projects from classes and events so I can't enter them in to challenges as they are not my own work. It sure feels good getting those unfinished projects completed: 20 from Pretty Rustic in March and 12-15 from CAD in August. That's a lot of layouts completed. There is still one more from CAD sitting on my desk for me to work on.<br />
<br />
Crafting goals this year would be to craft more. I am considering building some time in to my schedule to craft daily. It's something I enjoy so why wouldn't you schedule it in for every day? Another goal would be to tidy up my craft space. It is getting tricky to move around in there and I even think I may have too much stuff to craft with. I have already started a donate box to help me make decisions. I find that if you have a charity in mind when you start to clear out, it helps you release more.<br />
<br />
What's on the crafting agenda in the next few months? I already ordered 3x4 prints from my trip to Melbourne, Australia, with my mum, sister and my niece in December. I premade a travel themed Pocket Page Notebook from The Stamp Spot and a travel TN kit from Studio Calico before I went so it should come together quickly and easily right? LOL #pocketpagenotebook #ppn. In March I have Pretty Rustic and then Creative Adventure Downunder in May so I will have plenty of projects to work on I am sure.<br />

Wishing you all the best for 2020 - let's make it the best year yet!Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-79964914646283694222019-09-18T16:48:00.003-07:002019-09-18T17:03:06.855-07:00Inspired By - A Blog Named Hero ChallengeIt's been a long time since I have participated in a challenge at A Blog Named Hero. Maybe it means I mean some more Hero Arts stamps to inspire me :) The September challenge is: <a href="http://ablognamedhero.com/2019/09/september-challenge/" target="_blank">inspired by another crafter</a> . I was inspired by Caren Bartholomew's card which was inspired by Jill Hawkins.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
What inspired me in Caren's card was the watercoloured background over a heat embossed background stamp. I pulled out a Hero Arts background stamp that I bought last year but hadn't used yet - shocking! A little funny side note: I thought the stamp was called Hello Darling because it had a label on it. Turns out that it was just a Wordfetti sticker that had stuck to it LOL.<br />
<br />
After heat embossing the background, I pulled out my new Vicki Boutin watercolour pens to watercolur a background. In August, I attended Creative Adventure Downunder and took mixed media classes with Vicki. I now feel more confident to give watercolour and mixed media a go. I even watercoloured the white string and the card base - look at me go! You could say I was also inspired by Vicki Boutin for this challenge criteria. Here's my card:<br />

Ok, not really, but I thought I'd try and get away with it. š<br />
<br />
There are two challenges that I am entering a card for over at Simon Stays Stamp blog. The first one is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-65/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a> at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. That criteria is simple to meet. The second challenge is at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and it is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=17555" target="_blank">S is for</a> . S is for SEPTEMBER which is a big birthday month (3 birthdays) so I need birthday cards. S is also for new SUPPLIES and techniques which I pulled out to play with. And S is for SOMEONE SPECIAL who is the recipient of this birthday card. Lastly S is for STENCIL which I used.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1RfTgbL-TQ0/XWymoB7q2gI/AAAAAAAACFg/aZTdpoKvqKgd056fxn8X2fmIIdNw6IrHwCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B2-09-19%252C%2B5%2B00%2B59%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1RfTgbL-TQ0/XWymoB7q2gI/AAAAAAAACFg/aZTdpoKvqKgd056fxn8X2fmIIdNw6IrHwCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B2-09-19%252C%2B5%2B00%2B59%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And now the inside:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tTY2Qav3AoA/XWymvqSCInI/AAAAAAAACFk/iY3sCEmbMF0YxiBH_5RUIrfvbcSacytIgCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B2-09-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B10%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tTY2Qav3AoA/XWymvqSCInI/AAAAAAAACFk/iY3sCEmbMF0YxiBH_5RUIrfvbcSacytIgCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B2-09-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B10%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
At Creative Adventure Downunder recently I had the pleasure of taking mixed media classes from Vicki Bouton. She is super cool. I wanted to try out the techniques straight away so that I could lock them in to my memory. Which is why I started making my card with a watercoloured base - I always wanted to be able to do this and now I've learned how. I wanted to use my new Pink and Main 'happy birthday' die which is really cool. The rest of the card came together after that.<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
Vicki Bouton - art crayons, stencil and rose gold glaze<br />
Mambi washi tape<br />
Pink & Main die<br />
Penny Black Stamp (inside)<br />
Ranger Archival ink (inside)<br />
American Crafts Sticker (Pink Paisley)<br />
Cardstock scraps<br />

It's been busy around here and the blog has been neglected. It's about time I rectify the situation. Excuse the not-so-great photos. I snapped them quickly as I wanted to get the blog updated without further delay.<br />
<br />
My latest project is a card for the BFF's daughter. I originally wanted to create a unicorn card, because the birthday girl <i>loves</i> unicorns, but I don't have any unicorn items. I did however, have a zebra - close enough right? I got distracted by a technique I wanted to try which didn't work out - I tried adding coloured glitter and microbeads to embossing mousse (they didn't show through sadly). I fixed it by sprinkling glitter over the still wet embossing mousse. Then I got distracted by a mermaid theme as it suited the stencil I used. I don't have mermaids either so I fussy cut some from some patterned paper. Those who know me, know I <i>hate</i> fussy cutting #itmustbelove . The final project is not my best work but it will do:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dv9nJsNY5sg/XRqsHnJ9bDI/AAAAAAAACEo/cmB7i0szWswafOUzBgJkPAf2fxyF01q-gCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B25%2B48%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="837" data-original-width="664" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dv9nJsNY5sg/XRqsHnJ9bDI/AAAAAAAACEo/cmB7i0szWswafOUzBgJkPAf2fxyF01q-gCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B25%2B48%2BPM.jpg" width="316" /></a></div>
<br />
On the inside I wrote a special birthday message and covered it with a scratch off sticker. Hopefully I am not encouraging gambling by doing that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NsrhmoiCnKg/XRqsVJztk2I/AAAAAAAACEs/WA1R60R_YtkoavV7VEQ7uRyor7ocemqyQCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B26%2B25%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="719" data-original-width="1006" height="285" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NsrhmoiCnKg/XRqsVJztk2I/AAAAAAAACEs/WA1R60R_YtkoavV7VEQ7uRyor7ocemqyQCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B26%2B25%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
When I saw the birthday girl last week and told her I already bought her present and made her card she wanted to know if there was a unicorn on her card, because she <i>loooooooves</i> unicorns! Sigh. So I had to try and add one in of course. The only space left was on the back and I still only had the zebra shape:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-13NhKK1I3y8/XRqseuChaiI/AAAAAAAACE0/fWgZJw0XiD0kIzJLJ63il3b2vtRjYXYZQCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B27%2B12%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="705" data-original-width="613" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-13NhKK1I3y8/XRqseuChaiI/AAAAAAAACE0/fWgZJw0XiD0kIzJLJ63il3b2vtRjYXYZQCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B29-06-19%252C%2B2%2B27%2B12%2BPM.jpg" width="347" /></a></div>
<br />
I hope the birthday girl likes her card with a zebra dressed as a unicorn (or a unicorn in a zebra outfit - whatever works).<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
Tonic Studios - embossing mousse<br />
American Crafts - glitter, sticker, mermaid paper, stencil<br />
Pink & Main - stamp<br />
Ranger - ink<br />
Studio Calico - acrylic pieces, scratch off sticker<br />
Other - card, balloon brad, embroidery thread<br />

The latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=16346" target="_blank">Beautiful Blooms</a> . This set the theme for my card. I was dying to use the new Kaisercraft sticker tablet I purchased recently and they had some lovely blooms in there - how convenient! I think the stickers with the burgundy card was stunning enough that it didn't need much more adornment than that. I just embossed the sentiment, added some pearls to the bottom left and used a fancy corner punch on the top right edge. I really like this card and I'm sure my mum will too.<br />

I am proud to say that I managed to craft every day in March and only one day did I do less than the required 31 minutes (I did 25 minutes).<br />
<br />
At first I worked on some older projects from crafting events (CAD 2018) and then I found a box of even older unfinished projects. There were more items in there than I remembered so I knew I would be sorted for projects for the rest of March! In the second weekend of March I attended Pretty Rustic 2 which was a crafting event to create 20 layouts in 2 days. The plan was to create 10 layouts each day, but I only managed 2.5 layouts on Day 1 and 2 layouts on Day 2! That left me 15.5 layouts to work on during March and I am glad to say that I managed to complete them all by the end of March. Now I just need to add photos.<br />
<br />
Here's some photos from the weekend:<br />

Here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nEg8XBYXMkk/XLKpZiKNJkI/AAAAAAAACCo/DFIbX-dRiI4_Zx8lSrM_jlDd--aNMIRAACLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B14-04-19%252C%2B12%2B42%2B07%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nEg8XBYXMkk/XLKpZiKNJkI/AAAAAAAACCo/DFIbX-dRiI4_Zx8lSrM_jlDd--aNMIRAACLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B14-04-19%252C%2B12%2B42%2B07%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I think I used the wrong inks for the base (I used distress oxides) and, next time, I would take the time to apply the inks with a blending tool for better results. The black ink pad over the top was not as deep as I expected but I am still happy with how it turned out. All it needed to finish it off was the stamp saying which I embossed.<br />
<br />
I am entering this card over at the latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-no-designer-paper-2/" target="_blank">No Designer Paper</a> .<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
Card base and envelope - Rosies Studio<br />
Inks: distress oxides, Ranger embossing ink, unbranded black ink pad<br />
Embossing powder - Hero Arts (clear) and American Crafts (coloured)<br />
Stamps: Stampin' Up! and Studio Calico<br />

I'm all in! Kellie Winnel is also doing #31minutesfor31days this month and I have decided to join in! Most people have projects planned for the 31 days before it started, but I jumped in at the last minute (or day 1 on March 1st). So, every day in March, I will need to create/craft for 31 minutes (or more hopefully). I have a craft event coming up this weekend so that is two days accounted for. I just need to be consistent for the other 29 days in March - how hard can that be LOL!<br />
<br />
Here's how I am going so far:<br />
March 1st - created a military themed hat for a party<br />
March 2nd - Worked on a Heidi Swapp layout from CAD2018<br />
March 3rd - Mini accordion album for the above layout<br />
March 4th - Memory Planner prep for March<br />
March 5th - Memory Planner for Feb (awaiting photos)<br />
<br />
I deliberately decided to prepare March in my memory planner yesterday so I could join in with this weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. This weeks challenge is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-59/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a>. Here's my prepared monthly page:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-paA0gdKtK5k/XH3226gHQOI/AAAAAAAACBw/5qdIEbM4nuEUpkjm_h9RQSDigbqRsrDpgCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B4-03-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B12%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1201" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-paA0gdKtK5k/XH3226gHQOI/AAAAAAAACBw/5qdIEbM4nuEUpkjm_h9RQSDigbqRsrDpgCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B4-03-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B12%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
On this layout I decided to use some Heidi Swapp rose gold foiling flakes I got in my last order from Simon Says Stamp - yes, they ship internationally! I had not used them before and just winged it. Unfortunately the Heidi Swapp glue pen I have I a wide tip one so it is bulkier than I would like. I also coloured some Prima number stickers with a coral alcohol ink pen to match the layout (this month's colour theme in the book is navy and coral so I ran with that)<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
Heidi Swapp: Planner, Glue Pen, Rose Gold Foil Flakes<br />
Prima: Number Stickers<br />
Ali Edwards: Stories by the month chipboard 31 and today stamp<br />
Kellie Winnel: Stamp (makers gonna make)<br />
Sharpie: Blue/Coral Markers<br />

I spent the day crafting and it feels good. To start I completed another layout from CAD 2018 using photos from CAD 2018! The layout is from one of Terhi Koskinen's classes. It was so funny listening to the rest of the class during this lesson as we were not allowed to use rulers! I was happy to go free-form but many were not happy at all lol! #terhikoskinenworkshops @terhi_koskinen Here's the layout:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_lnujkc9I4U/XFphhZ4-BTI/AAAAAAAACBE/rER5MySucmsZaEnfk4Dkt9yiK-SpCS-OwCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B25%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_lnujkc9I4U/XFphhZ4-BTI/AAAAAAAACBE/rER5MySucmsZaEnfk4Dkt9yiK-SpCS-OwCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B25%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Lately I have been doing a lot of catch up and finishing projects from craft weekends so I was itching to create for creating sakes. I was inspired by the faux stitched blocks on Terhi's layout, an idea popped in to my head and I decided to run with it. I had a few orange toned chipboard stickers left from the class kit so I wanted to try the matching the colours like in the first layout too. I chose a number of coral, pink and red paper squares from the kit and laid them out. Once I inked the edges and glued them down, I added faux stitching with a Tim Holtz ruler.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZSfuAQcNNS0/XFph3M0L4UI/AAAAAAAACBM/qv102BcUyTAUHkAhtDxnsli6wIPHOGY4QCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B12%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZSfuAQcNNS0/XFph3M0L4UI/AAAAAAAACBM/qv102BcUyTAUHkAhtDxnsli6wIPHOGY4QCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B12%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next I decided I really liked the paint behind the squares as in the first layout, but I had already glued the squares down! My alternative was try some water colouring around it. I also added splotches of colours - one of my favourite techniques.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CAha36sxKMA/XFpiBqtVIgI/AAAAAAAACBQ/EXAnswZdemEYm3tmTwdsvlxDDPGByoAywCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B05%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CAha36sxKMA/XFpiBqtVIgI/AAAAAAAACBQ/EXAnswZdemEYm3tmTwdsvlxDDPGByoAywCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B55%2B05%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly, I layered on the chipboard stickers and fussy cut 2 storks - love those stalks! I must really love them because I don't like fussy cutting! I channelled Terhi and just kept adding items from the leftovers of the class kit. Here's my final layout:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oCY-d_ypj10/XFpiMGj-HnI/AAAAAAAACBY/K3F8rw6kAkI4Mc9CF-zq7hYeBb-n5eGRwCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B54%2B55%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oCY-d_ypj10/XFpiMGj-HnI/AAAAAAAACBY/K3F8rw6kAkI4Mc9CF-zq7hYeBb-n5eGRwCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B6-02-19%252C%2B4%2B54%2B55%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

We are currently in the middle of a heat wave here in New Zealand so it's too hot to craft right now. But I have been completing some craft projects.<br />
<br />
First up is my memory planner for last year. I used this lovely diary from Kaisercraft I bought in Australia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ptebHCcgPFs/XFEoU3I7r7I/AAAAAAAACAA/ekcSVK6XPJ0R-M4fKoZW9400X4EJwSmngCLcBGAs/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B04%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ptebHCcgPFs/XFEoU3I7r7I/AAAAAAAACAA/ekcSVK6XPJ0R-M4fKoZW9400X4EJwSmngCLcBGAs/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B04%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I stuffed the intro pockets with various labels and tickets from last year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NuIKOuShXfs/XFEoU3OOc-I/AAAAAAAAB_8/quejcIWHHVAS-e908EM_mw8kYHvzaZkMgCEwYBhgL/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B48%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NuIKOuShXfs/XFEoU3OOc-I/AAAAAAAAB_8/quejcIWHHVAS-e908EM_mw8kYHvzaZkMgCEwYBhgL/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B48%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a monthly layout<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-boMieV0ZAx8/XFEoUsooCYI/AAAAAAAACAQ/pAXkngRurWgzIE0bPZc8SsN_L7-GQn-vQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B29%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-boMieV0ZAx8/XFEoUsooCYI/AAAAAAAACAQ/pAXkngRurWgzIE0bPZc8SsN_L7-GQn-vQCEwYBhgL/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B01%2B29%2BPM.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Another project I finished up was a TN for my 2017 Australia trip<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aSRkEn5EoXs/XFEoXGLeYsI/AAAAAAAACAg/v40PlbEpsO0p2j0MX7zG87iCPHN557GuACEwYBhgL/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B30%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aSRkEn5EoXs/XFEoXGLeYsI/AAAAAAAACAg/v40PlbEpsO0p2j0MX7zG87iCPHN557GuACEwYBhgL/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B30%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
A sample layout<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WqnNgzWLegA/XFEoWKMv3xI/AAAAAAAACAc/pOKMwEmAIlgcehq3dHxz5QJwlX4gBwu8gCEwYBhgL/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B16%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WqnNgzWLegA/XFEoWKMv3xI/AAAAAAAACAc/pOKMwEmAIlgcehq3dHxz5QJwlX4gBwu8gCEwYBhgL/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B16%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally I completed some Heidi Swapp layouts from Creative Adventure Downunder (CAD) from June last year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hoo1W1wDSr0/XFEoXIaay_I/AAAAAAAACAg/6I_JEVweLvEOjRAv5JW9QWUIiJhRHsRcACEwYBhgL/s1600/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B43%2BPM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hoo1W1wDSr0/XFEoXIaay_I/AAAAAAAACAg/6I_JEVweLvEOjRAv5JW9QWUIiJhRHsRcACEwYBhgL/s400/Photo%2B30-01-19%252C%2B5%2B02%2B43%2BPM.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
There's still plenty of projects from CAD 2018 that I need to complete. At least I finished last year's 20 layouts from Pretty Rustic before this year's event happening in March!Memories by Mandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16325527836227141713noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839213926027912953.post-89668848177298705482018-12-31T18:24:00.000-08:002018-12-31T18:24:59.730-08:00The First Challenge for the New YearIt's already 2019 in New Zealand - Happy New Year. I hope all of your dreams (and mine) come true this year.<br />
<br />
For Christmas I gave my boss a bottle of wine and I wanted to jazz it up a little. I created a simple card/cover for it. I basically used scraps to make it and it turned out quite sweet. My boss can reuse the label for any bottle of wine that she gives during the holiday season.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
